Project Description
TSI Engineering delivered a comprehensive upgrade of the water, wastewater, landscape, and site infrastructure systems at the CH Warlow Safety Roadside Rest Area along State Route 99 in Tulare and Fresno Counties.
This federal-aid Caltrans project modernized critical utility systems, enhanced ADA accessibility, upgraded site safety elements, and strengthened long-term environmental performance.
Scope Highlights
- Water system upgrades included new water storage tanks and booster pumps.
- Wastewater system upgrades included removal of existing septic tank and abandonment of leach field
- Installation of septic tank, equalization tank, effluent filter, and recirculation packed bed filter system
- Construction of a CMU enclosure for tanks and generator and installation of 4” PVC water supply lines along with plumbing accessories
- Installation of new main switchboard with an ATS system.
- Installation of a new diesel standby generator
- Integration of SCADA system with PLC-based telemetry
- ADA improvements
Performance
- Executed work in accordance with Caltrans construction, materials, and quality control requirements
- Full compliance with Caltrans Division XII and 2022 Standard Specifications
- Federal-aid reporting and 16% DBE participation requirements
