TSI completed a remodeling/demolition project for the NASA/USGS research facility at the NASA Ames Center - Moffett Field, CA.

Services included:

• Preparation of pre-construction submittals including product data sheets, project schedule and material approval, site health & safety plan (S&H), waste characterization and waste management plan.
• Selective demolition of the 2nd floor and basement area. The total area of 41,000 sqft, which included walls, ceilings, electrical and plumbing fixtures.
• Abatement of asbestos containing material (ACM), carpets and under base coving.
• Lead abatement from plaster walls and doors.
• Our staff included and in-house health and safety officer (HSO), certified industrial hygienist (CIH), site safety officers (SSHO) to ensure health and safety for the field staff and to be in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

Demolition work:

• Concrete walls and structure saw-cutting.
• Removal of wood lumber partitions and metal rebar frames.
• Removal of 96 cast iron radiators and an HVAC unit.
• Removal of furniture.
• Demolition of electrical and plumbing fixtures.
• Abatement of lead from plaster walls and doors.
