TSI was awarded this contract to perform quality control services which included construction supervision and site inspection during the construction and rehabilitation of the fuel farm at the Sacramento Mather Airport. The construction cost of this project was $2.063M. Following are the salient features of this exalted Aviation project:
Project Description:

Excavation of predominantly plastic, pumping and saturated clays/soils and compaction of 4722 sy of subgrade to achieve 98% maximum dry density.

Compaction of 4722 sy of 18” thick base course compacted in six (6) inch layers to achieve 100 % relative compaction of maximum laboratory density.

Placement of 1360 cy of 650 psi flexural strength concrete in the pavement and containment area.

Provision & installation of three (3) 50,000-gallon Fuel Tanks and relocation of one 12,000-gallon Aviation Gas Tank.

Installation of 10-inch dia. 980 lf Fire Main to deliver requisite pressure for firefighting.

Installation of utilities, such as storm water drain, sewer line, 30,000-gallon Oil/ water Separator & 48-inch dia. “Contech Manhole Water filter” to convert sewer water into clear water.

Provision of high voltage/low voltage electric lines along with setting up of switchgear, transformer pad & incoming and distribution panels in Kiosk.
