To remove forty-one (41) old heaters and install new Reznor model UDAP-100 heaters with minimum input capacity 100,000 BTU, 83% thermal efficiency, output heating capacity 87,000 BTU, min. air discharge temperature rise 60 degree Fahrenheit, min. air volume 1345 CFM, discharge air opening 2.01 sqft, output velocity 668 FPM and maximum full load 3.9 Amps and power consumption 276W with max. motor HP 1/20HP, min. fan dia. 16”, max sound level 54 Db at 15 feet with 409 stainless steel heat exchanger, totally enclosed fan motor, high wind vent cap, vertical louvers, and connected VisionPRO 8000 model Honeywell digital thermostats.

This project also included to remove and replace flue gas vent pipes and vent caps, conduit wires and dispose old heaters and its associated pipes, support structures and related hardware. Work also required to install UL approved copper flexible gas pipes and Type B Double layered flue vent gas pipes with lock-tight connections. Electrical work includes installation of new 3/4” conduit 3#12 THHN for electrical power to heater from 120/208V panel and install new electrical disconnect switches.

The contract also required to remove and dispose of all water heaters and associated supply and return hot water control pipes, valves, control wires, thermostat and related electrical wiring, conduits and hardware.

Water supply and return pipes were insulated with asbestos containing mudded insulation. Specified pipes involved performing asbestos abatement while following OSHA Class I guide lines and applicable codes.
