Fueling Tanks at Merced Fueling Facility

The Caltrans Merced maintenance facility is a highly active facility that fuels all Caltrans vehicles in service between Stockton and Fresno.  TSI provided civil/environmental engineering consulting and construction services for the installation of above ground tanks that included:

• Prepare plans and specifications (civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical) for permitting permitting from the California Fire Marshall, Air Resources Board and Air Pollution Control District.
• Remove and dispose of asphalt concrete and soils, and prepareg the surface for the cement concrete tanks and drive-up slabs.
• Install rebars and place10-inch thick cement concrete for tank and drive-up slabs.
• Open trench for the installation of low and high voltage conduit and conductors.
• Connect all electrical conduits with the existing electrical panel.
• Install 8-foot-long, 4-inch-diameter concrete-filled guard post bollards.
• Constructing 10-inch-thick cement concrete tank and drive-up slabs.
