As a prime, TSI Engineering,  Inc. (TSI) provided construction services for the installation of DGPS towers at United States Coast Guard Training Center in California for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. TSI provided all in house labor, material, and equipments for the installation of towers. Work involved submission of preconstruction and construction submittals including project schedule, payment schedules, product data sheets, material safety data sheet, work plans, health and safety plans including hospital route, security clearance of labor,  clearing and grubbing of proposed area, detection of existing underground utilities, staking to locate junction boxes, trench excavation, conduit installation, trench backfilling, rebar installation for the side walk and footings, installing concrete, and pulling conductors in the conduits.

TSI connected all cable systems and power lines from tower to junction boxes and inside signal room, capped  all exposed boxes with fully sealed and waterproof caps. TSI also installed 6-foot high vinyl security fence around each enclosure with a 3-foot gate. Existing louvered window were cored with a drill to make holes of 1-inch, 3-inch,
and 4-inch diameters for the conductors penetration in the buildings.  As part of this government construction project, TSI prepared concrete mix design to meet weather conditions and stability of the tower structure. TSI proposed wall penetration methods and materials to avoid drain water seepage into the building. This innovative design improved the signal line quality with respect to conveying messages without any hindrance.
